Loser at Roulette Tries to Burn Down Casino at Kensington
A gambler was recently accused of trying to burn a casino, after he lost 40,000 pounds, at roulette. 46 year old businessman Parviz Mashayekhi, sprayed petrol on croupier Tara Lyons and other staff members. He is also said to have sprayed petrol on the gaming tables, at Connoisseur Club in Royal Garden Hotel, in Kensington, West London. He then tried to ignite the petrol with a lighter. He was however, caught by security staff and arrested by the police, on Friday night. He was charged with a single count. This was for attempting to destroy a casino and putting lives at danger. Mahayekhi appeared before West London Magistrates today morning. Isle.co.uk reports:
Dishevelled looking Mashayekhi appeared dressed in a white sweatshrit and tracksuit bottoms before West London Magistrates this morning charged with a single count of attempting to destroy a casino and endangering life. He spoke only to confirm his name and details during the brief hearing and was remanded in custody pending his next appearance at Blackfriars Crown Court on January 9.
